I create worksheets that test students on recognising the icons within Microsoft Word tabs.
These are ideal for class worksheets, homework and assessment.

Good for all ICT courses and ECDL.
I have created a 10 page booklet to help students plan, structure and give a presentation. I had originally created this for an Asdan level 3 course, but I have since used this for other level 2 and 3 courses and it works still.

The booklet was designed to enable students to plan a presentation they were due to give and does allow space for them to write/plan within the document. It has helped my students a great deal, especially those who need to give presentation for BTEC assignments.

The document is editable therefore you can amend as you need to.

Contents:
Introduction
Audience
Research
Basic Structure
Unexpected problems
Presentation checklist
This accompanies another resource of mine. This is the test you can use to assess students practical skills of Word.
The test separates into grades and gives a breakdown of what the student needs to complete for each grade.

I created these resources as an introduction to the basics of programming and Python.
It covers around 3-4 weeks of lessons (I had mine 3 times a week).
The topics it covers are:

High-Level and Low-Level programming introduction

An introduction to Python IDLE

Syntax

Built in commands and what they mean, including colours of the text

Hello World in Python

Variables

Naming rules of variables including camelCase

Input

Selection

Indentation

Maths programs

Efficiency of programs

Data types

Algorithm practice

Testing

The PowerPoint has some notes as a brief guide.
The end of the lessons is a small project which enables them to practice the skills they have been taught. I have provided some support sheets to help students.
I have left the PowerPoint blank to enable you to customise.

I have created small tasks/projects for Year 9 going into year 10 (or can be used to prepare students who have not been taught Com Sci in Key stage 3) and year 10 going into year 11. There is also one for KS3 students.
This is for students to complete over the summer holidays.

This has been created with the intention of building a one/two lesson recap of all the main points from the syllabus Topic 3.7 Ethics, Legal and Environmental. To help apply this there are some questions included from past papers that test and then you mark with the students.
The idea is it will cement all the basics and then identify any areas that they need to work on for revision and exam question practice.

I refer to Topic Question booklets throughout - these are booklets I created using examPro that have all the questions on that topic. As ExamPro is paid for I cannot provide these but you could make your own using ExamPro.

Let me know what you think by leaving a review - or let me know if there is an error.

For step up weeks I created a project that incorporates many of the GCSE business concepts in a fun project. This can be used for KS3 or KS4. The presentations are amendable to suit your needs.
A summary of the project is:

Introducing them to the GCSE and then the project. They are to compare Aldi/Lidl products with branded products.

They will create a questionnaire

They will have a blind taste session which will produce completed questionnaires

Anaylse their results and produce a report

Please note:
There is not a presentation for the tasting of the products. Should be completed in between lesson 3 and 4.

Using BBC Bitesize to research all the information or if they know it they will not need to research it, students will answer the questions, create algorithms and code for the tasks in Scratch but could be adjusted to another language.

This resource was created to help students create a test plan for the computer program.
It clarifies how to create one, what each test would be based on, what each individual aspect of the test plan means and clarifies evidence at the end.

This is a self assessment document which links to all the syllabus and allows students to self-assess.
I use this regularly with my students and it helps them focus their revision.
It includes some extra explanation where I thought it was difficult for a student to understand what the syllabus was talking about.

This has been created with the intention of building a one/two lesson recap of all the main points from the syllabus Topic 1 Fundamentals of Algorithms. To help apply this there are some questions included from past papers that test and then you mark with the students.
Please feel free to use/amend/adjust the assignment briefs created. I have downloaded them originally from the BTEC website and made some adjustments myself.
They will need internal verification from your own centre as per BTEC rules.
Please feel free to amend or leave feedback.
They will need to be approved/IV's in your own centre.
The information in the assignment briefs came from another resource on the internet - I have just moved it across to the new format and amended slightly.
I have written assignment briefs for the QCF unit 1 as we are still using this spec this year in our school.
Feel free to amend or leave feedback.
