<p>This mini project will introduce students to working together in separate places to film a short moment and put them together as a short film.<br /> The end project is the popular trend of passing an object from one screen to another.<br /> This can be a very fun and exciting project and a good way to start distance learning. I did this as an experiment to help students get familiar with working in this way and used it as a time to work out who was not confident, so I could help them get prepared for the bigger projects.<br /> It also gets them used to working in breakout rooms, making creative decisions together and helps everyone to get better at editing.<br /> It is suitable for any secondary age students.<br /> There are 3 lessons but could easily go over more and be made into a bigger project if you wanted!<br /> Students can film on their phones or use laptops/ipads - I have included a help sheet for recording using screencastify and Quicktime Player too.</p>

<p>Teach your students about the theatre and techniques or Bertolt Brecht through the lens of Fame &amp; Celebrity, culminating in them devising their own original Brechtian Performance titled ‘The Price of Fame’. Assessment rubrics provided - both simple and detailed.</p>

<p>This is a full unit of work, with 10 lessons - this could be condensed or extended if needed. This work is designed to be done from home, on Zoom and allows students to plan, write and film an original film, based on the stimulus of ‘Stuck’. If you went back to school before the project is finished, it could be continued in person, and would still accommodate children who had to stay home. All video clips can be edited together using imovie or other simple editing programs.<br /> It is also includes, self reflections, a help sheet for screen recording and an assessment rubric.<br /> Suitable for any secondary age pupils and can be adapted to their ability.</p>

<p>‘The Day That…’<br /> Students will work in a group - the final product will be a news report film. They must decide what interesting thing happened on this day… they should be encouraged to be creative!<br /> Students will plan, write a script, perform and edit their work together.<br /> There are 13 lessons designed for Zoom or similar. Tried and tested as I have been teaching online for many months in Peru.<br /> Also includes planning docs, assessment gris, self reflection and quick self check.<br /> There are some great filters on Zoom that students can use to get the news report effect too!<br /> If you happen to go back to the classroom during the project, this project can easily be continued - and also is supportive if you have some students in the classroom and some out.<br /> Enjoy! I got some great, unusual and original results from this work!!</p>

<p>These Drama lessons are designed for Zoom/Distance Learning. There are 4 lessons that cover basic physical skills. These can be used for the start of term, making sure everyone understands the importance of body language, facial expression and so on.<br /> You get the Lesson slides to share on your screen and the assignment slides for your students to document their work.<br /> The lessons build up from still images, to stories to filming.<br /> They are designed for use on Google slides and Google Classroom but could be adapted for other platforms. The filming project could be spread over more than 2 lessons depending on the students. Minimum this is 4 lessons work, it could be as much as 7.<br /> There are some spaces for your own examples and there are some basic assessment ideas that you may wish to remove.</p>

<p>Two lessons designed for Zoom or online learning for practical Drama. An introduction to vocal skills with practical activities, taking advantage of break out rooms. Students will learn vocal technique vocab and try them out, they will also cover an introduction to subtext. With this purchase you will receive two powerpoints, ideally to be converted into Google slides and a word document, ideally you would convert this into a Google Doc. There are two lessons here but the script work in the second lesson could easily be extended to another lesson. The reflection of what has been learned could also be extended</p>

<p>This is an individual project that can be taught completely on Zoom etc.<br /> It also has the flexibility to be continued on campus if you go back to school - as it is a monologue project, students can remain socially distanced yet still do practical drama.<br /> This projects sees the students choosing an inspirational person and basing a monologue on that person.<br /> The choose, research, plan - write the script, get peer feedback, rehearse, perfect and then film a final version of their work.<br /> This can be extended over many more lessons if needed - 9 are included, however I have left some gaps for rehearsal sessions, that you can adapt to your own students,<br /> This work would be suitable for any secondary aged students.<br /> It is not included but after the work is all submitted, it is very fun for the class to watch them all!</p>
