To replace the table top exercises. Both Units 13 - Command and Control, and Unit 15 - Planning and Management of Major Incidents, have an assignment based on a Table-Top exercise. This is very tricky to do withou the equipment and manpower. An easier way is a PowerPoint exercise. This is the test presentation and the answer presentation plus question sheet and back-up info. This is a set of teaching aids suggesting an approach to answering learning aim B. The original suggestion is to: a) Simulate an incident – which is tricky in a college environment; or, b) Perform a crime prevention campaign. I have designed a classoom activity that gets the learners performing a presentation on two main relevant topics. This is designed to be performed in groups of three and it was very successful. The learners can even mark each other anonymously. It is a self contained solution to this assignment.
