Used with top set year 8 but can be adapted for other sets/years.

Lesson starts with how to calculate the gradient of a line. These slides can either be done as a recap or an actual taught session.
It then moves onto distance/time graphs and contains different activities for the class including a short matching activity and a memory activity.
I used this with my top set year 8's but it can be adapted for sets/years.

In addition to the slides here, I used other resources found on TES for additional practice for the students as I have only included one page of questions in the flipchart. (There is a free car activity available which I used though it needed more structure for my year 8's).

This DST lesson consists of a starter where the children need to convert minutes into hours using fractions. With two further slides for those who may need some additional support and some more complex questions.
There are two end plenary questions which could be answered on mini whiteboards to check students understanding at the end.

The lesson consists of activities for the students to do individually, in pairs or as a whole class discussion led by the teacher.

All answers are provided within the flipchart.
