<p>Here is an editable PPT you can use for the first lesson with ESL students that includes “How We Learn” rules and greetings. It also incorporates getting to know you elements (name, favorite colors/food/animals etc.)</p> <p>Name Tag Activity: Print out the blank template in the PPT or have students draw on a blank piece of paper the design. Go through each slide. You can change the example to fit your (the teacher’s) answers to each question</p>

<p>I made this ESL Summer Learning Calendar for July and August for my students and decided to share it here! There is a calendar with one “Pete the Cat” story per week with activities to do Monday - Thursday and a fun activity each Friday. It follows the same structure every week with Monday focusing on vocabulary from the story, Tuesday focusing on listening comprehension, Wednesday focusing on reading and grammar, and Thursday focusing on writing. There are QR codes for every activity using Wordwall and Liveworksheets.</p>

<p>Escape Room activity related to finding the area of triangles, parallelograms, and trapezoids. Students are expected to solve each area problem then finding the 4 digit code to “escape” the lesson!</p>

<p>ESL Create a New Country<br /> Students can follow along to create their own country by giving it a name, drawing how it looks on a map, creating a new flag design, choosing its best food and drink, naming three geographical places to visit, which vehicles they use to get to these places, what their hobbies are, and what the weather is like.</p>
