Following shortly will be a set of classroom activities associated with each poem, under the heading 'It's OK: activities for...' and the name of the poem.

This bundle is a companion set to 'It's OK', and contains 12 activities which are applicable to all 17 poems in the 'It's OK' resource. The 12 activity groups are: getting a vocabulary, timeline, safe ways (writing), safe ways (talking), letting off steam, drawing it out, rules and boundaries, doing good, doing bad, dealing with it, values tree, poem reaction, and personal commitment. The activities are designed to be used in the classroom, and are a mix of talking, movement, writing, acting, dancing and personal reflection.

The bundle represents 7 poems, written the day after a visit to Auschwitz, and a personal commentary on how the poems came about. The poems and commentary can be used in class to reflect on the lessons of Auschwitz and the holocaust, and of course to investigate the power and form of poetry. The commentary might lead to some useful discussion and reflection on the creative process. All proceeds from the sale of this bundle will go in full to the Holocaust Educational Trust.
