'Scene of the Crime&' is a scheme of work aimed at getting students to learn how to analyse and look deeper. It teaches them how to judge things and discuss opinions and impressions.
Useful to begin a school year with as it recaps or teaches key skills.

<p>Powerpoint presentation lesson plans, resources, displays and worksheets for: Shakespeare’s background, Romeo and Juliet crime scene investigation, Hamlet essay introduction work. It also has a presentation for a taboo style game activity.</p>
A resource I have blown to A3, laminated and put on the desks in my classroom. Students can use one side of the A3 sheet to look at general writing tipcs, such as how to use apostrophes to homophone issues. They can then use the other side for hints and tips regarding the WJEC English exam papers.
<p>A 50 minute lesson looking at different TV shows and films which portray a range of different family types. Linked to healthy and unhealthy relationships.</p>
<p>Lesson, which could last up to 2 hours. Looks at different protests and movements in recent years and history. Eg, BLM, American civil rights, sufragettes, just stop oil, pride, etc.</p>
Scheme of work aimed at Y7. Nice to start the year as it focuses on the topic of bullying which is a worry for many Y7s.
Analytical and fun. Allows for lots of drama.
Full powerpoint scheme of work for Y7 reading paper skills. Focuses on selecting and retrieving information. Uses a number of weird and wonderful newspaper articles, but can be substituted for any, really.
