'The Ruby in the Smoke' a chapter-by chapter resource, with a focus on challenging vocabulary.

This resource is being used at KS3 as a way of introducing students to C19th literature, specifically Dickens. I have tested it with two classes. It seems to help them gain an appreciation of the C19th social setting and introduces them to some old-fashioned vocabulary. Often I get students to answer the questions orally in class. I hope the chapter-related worksheets are also useful for homeworks and can help absent students to catch up.
