This Key Stage 4 resource provides students with an opportunity to learn about a variety of key terminology related to the topic-area. It allows students to examine 2023-24 government receipts and expenditure and examine the difference between national debt and deficit whilst also learning about various types of tax and public services.
In this engaging lessons, students pretend to be the Chancellor of the Exchequer and justify reasons for increasing/decreasing various taxes and funding various public services. It provides an excellent opportunity to discuss and develop their oracy skills and has challenge activities throughout.
