29. German: adverbs as conjunctions + how to say 'when'

This is a Powerpoint presentation of 9 slides and is no.29 in a series of 60-minute lessons used by me to tutor a GCSE student via Zoom. The focus of each lesson is grammatical, rather than topic specific, and as such they can be slotted into topic work as required. In addition, each lesson attempts to extend the use of German to match the requirements of GCSE Higher Tier.

This presentation teaches the use of adverbs as conjunctions, stressing word order and showing how to write longer sentences by sequencing actions. It also looks at the different words to use for ‘when’ in German. Grammatical explanation, gap-fills, translation practice and oral work are all provided.
