Three weeks worth of lessons based around the story of Adelita. Each week focuses on a different reading skill: questioning, summarising, predicting. Three of the lessons each week are based around this skill and involve reading a certain amount. If there is time, children will complete a ‘selfie’, which is independent work based on what they have read. One day each week is ‘reading for pleasure’, and the other is a comprehension lesson based on the book that we have been reading.
