Animal and Plant Cells: Introduction Year 7-8

This worksheet is designed to introduce Year 7 students of all abilities to animal and plant cells.

The exercise is suitable for all abilities and will familiarise key vocabulary and concepts, identifying basic organelles and their function and the similarities and differences between plant and animal cells.

I have used this worksheet with both Year 7 & 8 EAL students as an accessible introduction to the topic and as a recap. It usually takes students around 30 minutes to complete by themselves, or 20 minutes working in a group.
