ANIMAL FARM PIGS ANALYSIS ACTIVITY GCSE (9 - 1)

Hello all!

This resource is useful to students studying George Orwell’s Animal Farm as a literary text, regardless of exam boards. This activity is more open-ended, behaving in a way similar to the extended questions sat during the exam, which require interpretation.

This resource includes:
Analysis questions relating to the 3 pigs (Napoleon, Snowball and Squealer).
A high level response of quotation analysis.
An open-ended statement for evaluation (Theme of totalitarianism).
A quotation analysis task at the end.

I would recommend using this to encourage students to embed those quotations in their longer answers, as well as helping them understand the importance of analysis! Hope it helps!
