Arctic Themed Climate Change Workshop for Year 2 Children

Arctic themed drama lesson for children in year 2 with Geography links.
This workshop comprises both drama and Geography as children learn about climate change in an innovative and creative way which will help them remember.

The main objections are for children to learn about the Arctic and climate change in a hands on and age appropriate way. Whilst they are visualizing and acting out certain scenarios they will gain a clearer understanding of what the environment is like which will enhance the discussion and presentation time at the end. From a drama perspective they will be incorporating team work, communication, mime, role play, and public speaking.

The session starts with a warm up and includes imaginative thinking and role play activity, miming and freeze frames and a time for discussion with teachers and peers.
