This assessment analysis tool is designed to help you review the performance of your class following a test and as importantly, allow your students to review their own performance and highlight the areas they did not do so well on. It generates a strip that students can stick into their books. It is a simple visual way of feeding back to students. You can follow up as you wish - I usually produce a whole class feedback sheet and do a lesson where students complete tasks specific to the areas they did not perform well on.
How to use
Details are included on the Excel file. You fill in a few key details on the ‘Data Entry’ tab on MS Excel, including details of the question, total marks for questions, students names and their marks for individual questions. The sheet does the rest. I have included an example of how I have used the sheet with real data in on the ORANGE tabs. The BLUE tabs are all set up and ready for you to use.
Please note that there are two Excel files below. One for printing slips on to A4 paper and one set up for A3. Use the one that matches your paper size /printer. You can reduce the number of pages you are print depending on the number of students in your class if needed (there will be some blank slips if you have fewer than 30 students in your class).
