Please ensure you can access the video before you get this resource. These questions are for a five-minute twenty second video, one of a set of five. This sheet is CHEAPER if you get them all in the bundle. I’ve only listed the sheets separately in order to make the bundle. The BBC says “We meet Homer, a famous writer from Ancient Greece, believed to be the author of both The Iliad and The Odyssey. Homer introduces us to the Olympians - twelve of the most important gods and goddesses of Ancient Greece - and explains how the gods and goddesses control every aspect of Ancient Greek life.

Homer goes on to describe Ancient Greek beliefs about the afterlife, including crossing the River Styx and the three-headed dog, Cerberus. Finally Hades will decide if the deceased will enjoy the afterlife in the paradise of Elysium or burning in the fires of Tartarus.”

Differentiated THREE ways! All versions look very similar, but “B” version has subtle clues, and “C” version requires pupils to cross out wrong answers, not write in correct ones, allowing pupils with literacy difficulties to access the work.14 questions for the 5-minute 20 second film. .doc and .pdf of all sheets, link to video on all sheets. Answer sheet. **Very easy to mark. **

The BBC KS2 Class Clips Ancient Greece web-page has the video and extensive teachers’ notes, suggesting further work.
