Beowulf Scheme of Work

This is a fully resourced scheme of work for KS3 based on Beowulf (the Rosemary Sutcliff version). This scheme of work includes lesson PowerPoints with supporting resources, a completed scheme of work document, a take away homework menu and a reading and writing assessment, along with preparation resources and a mark scheme. Lessons include differentiated learning objectives and differentiated menu-style activities that link to the learning objectives. The reading and writing exams/assessments are based on the question styles of the Edexcel IGCSE English Language exam paper, but can easily be adapted. This scheme of work is differentiated, ready to teach and provides the opportunity for outstanding learning every lesson. If you have not taught Beowulf by Rosemary Sutcliff before, then this scheme of work would allow you to introduce it to your school/students with ease and minimal effort!
