One of over 60 PowerPoint presentations (Sets 1 - 6) which together cover the AS and Year 1 A Level topics for AQA and the relevant Year 2 A level topic for Edexcel (B). This presentation is complemented by ‘3.2.4 Immunology 1 – Introduction and Humoral Response.pptx’. The introduction section follows on from GCSE and sets the scene for both specific and non specific immunity. Although the only component of the non-specific immune response stated by AQA and Edexcel (B) is phagocytosis I feel that some mention of physical and chemical barriers is required for an holistic understanding of non specific immunity. It is the OCR and WJEC versions of our immunology presentations that include details (at A level standard) of non specific responses such as blood clotting, inflammation, mast cells, etc.
• Utilizes the benefits of the staged display of information.
• Enhances the specifications for AQA and Edexcel (B).
• Works on all operating systems where MS PowerPoint has been installed, e.g. Windows, Mac OS, iOS and Android (this presentation is flash-free).
• Fully editable in PowerPoint (.pptx file supplied).
• Suitable for a single computer, network, interactive whiteboard or digital projector.
• Our presentations save you hours in the preparation of high quality lessons.
N.B. The OCR (A) and WJEC specifications for immunity differ substantially from those of AQA and Edexcel (B) in that the only component of the non-specific immune response covered by AQA and Edexcel (B) is phagocytosis. The OCR (A) and WJEC specifications require a thorough coverage of all aspects of non specific immunity. Therefore if you teach OCR (A) or WJEC please search this site for…
