The Kanye West lyrics video has little to do with the issue and everything to do with piggybacking the issue. A better alternative is to search for Lupe Fiasco's version Conflict Diamonds on You Tube. Print off the second part of the lyrics and get students to explain some of the references. Students enjoy learning about Cecil Rhodes who "sold war and genocide into the countryside just to get his mine on"
Very useful, have used it with Year 10's, appropriate if you are also looking at Kony2012. Students completed engaged in the lesson.
