This lesson is designed to get children talking about their favourite types of books and using their maths skills at the same time.
The lesson is based on creating a tally chart and bar graph.
I usually give children the first 15 minutes of a lesson to go around the class and talk to their peers, collecting data.
I’ve used this across KS1 and KS2 but it is really more suitable for year3/4.
