This is a collection of ERD questions and data for seven past controlled assessment papers. Students are asked to attempt an initial answers based on 1NF, 2NF and 3NF. They then improve after discussion, and finally take down the correct answer. By doing this repeatedly (seven times on these sheets, and then doing at least some again), the practice will help most students become very capable at this activity.
Later marks are dependent on Activity 1 being correct, so this level of practice is arguably a good idea.
I then provide detailed answers, in the separate answer booklet, which explain why the answer is what it is. I hope you, and your students, find those details useful.
