A set of three lessons following ‘C’est la fête’ Studio GCSE Higher Module 3.5. Students are reminded of some celebrations that happen in France then go on to practice using and recognising three tenses. Students practice their skills through a range of activities from the book enhanced with support and challenge activities as well as additional slides to explain the grammar, additional exercises to practice using object pronouns, a video of the Nice carnival and differentiated translations in to French and English. A jepoardy style game is also used to consolidate student knowledge. The lessons conclude with a role play card task with student friendly criteria and an extended writing task with success criteria to facilitate self/peer assessment.
