The fifth lesson in a unit looking at the causes of WWI. This lesson looks at how the desire for empire triggered the Moroccan Crises, using a clear case study which can then be connected to WWI.
The Moroccan Crises are subsequently compared to the Assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand, so that students are comparing specific events as causes.
The PowerPoint is supported by a narrative of both crises, as well as a table for consolidating knowledge.
