This is a treasure hunt that I planned for my Y10 IGCSE class who had studied:
1. Causes of WWI
2. Peace Treaties
3. League of Nations
I put them into 3 teams. They then had to complete 5 clues from the crossword as a team. I then gave them the first clue. After every 5 clues they come back to the classroom (the clues direct them back). They the complete the next 5 clues. When they return to the classroom for a second time they have to find 5 words in the word search. When they have completed all 15 clues they come back to the classroom and have to ensure they have both the crossword and the word search complete. You could easy have other fill in activities and adapt for other topics.
