This extensive editable power point goes through the Chordate phylum and presents while giving an detailed explanation of the adaptations that evolved which led to the diverse sub-phylum of the vertebrate.

Students will learn about how cephalization, kidney development, the skeleton, amniotic egg, hair, fur, placenta and many other traits allowed for the different fish, reptiles, birds and mammals to evolve.

This is an excellent resource for Honors, college level and AP Biology classes. It is also organized in a way in which students should be able to seamlessly create a cladogram from it. You could also print the slides out as cards and have the students try to arrange them in evolutionary order.
