Christophe's Story 4 Example Texts BUNDLE

Four example texts based on the novel Christophe’s Story by Nicki Cornwell.

The following exemplar texts are included in this bundle:
• Character profile
• Dialogue writing
• Diary entries
• Letter

Each resource contains the following documents:
• An example text to use as a WAGOLL
• A feature identification sheet
• Feature identification answer sheet

Writing templates and extracts are also included with some resources.

The language, grammar and punctuation features to be identified in the texts include:
• Alliteration
• Similes
• Metaphors
• Fronted adverbials followed by a comma
• Expanded noun phrases
• Co-ordinating conjunctions
• Apostrophes for singular possession
• Apostrophes for contraction
• Commas in a list
• Commas to add extra information
• Colons
• Semi-colons
• Brackets
• Hyphens

These example texts can be used to examine the features of writing as a WAGOLL before pupils embark on writing their own text.
