Cirque du Freak lesson for KS3 English that looks at Darren Shan’s novel and the final three chapters in particular. Students explore how the whole novel is moving towards the ending and how these chapters are built to impact readers. We explore different ways a writer can end a text and why they might choose one of these methods.

Really useful for English KS3 students who are moving towards GCSE English Literature and English Language exams. Includes differentiated activities, modelled examples, engaging resources and worksheets.
