This color words booklet is filled with many different color words and accompanying pictures. On the second part of each page, the children can color the color word. Older children can be encouraged to color the color words the correct color; don’t worry too much about which colors younger preschoolers use. The main goals for younger preschoolers are that they are being introduced to colors, and that they are handling a book. The last page is “My favorite color is” and “My drawing.” Help children write their favorite color, and let them draw a picture.
For prep, fold the pages in half, cut the pages into two parts and trim if necessary. Next, staple the corner of the pages. After the books are prepped, give the books to the children, read along with the children, and let them color.
