A fully differentiated lesson comparing the main themes in the texts. Activities differentiated using individual/ collaborative tasks/ pace/ time tasks/ choice of mild/medium or hot questions/ choice of theory/ quotations to explore.
Lesson designed to last one hour. I’ll be using this with a set 2 year 11 class.
Activities include: exploration of female authors in cluster, glossed reading of the text with key questions, differentiated word fill to consolidate meanings/ events in each text. Pick a theory/ pair of quotes task 1 = easy, 4 = challenging. Explode quotations with model and prompts. Answer one (mild, medium, hot) question to summarise learning of themes.
