Complete lesson -surface area of solids - building a mobile

this lesson assumes knowledge of finding the area of a rectangle, and the ability to construct triangles accurately. It then goes on to give students 5 sets of instructions for constructing solids, finding their surface area and building them to to create a mobile. the 5 solids are starred for the level of difficulty. to further enhance difficulty level the angle could be removed from the hexagonal prism, and diagonal length not given on the trapezoidal prism.

How to hang the mobile, or just hang the solids separately is up to you.
