Crossnumber: Percentage of an amount

I made these resources for my Year 7 class - initially to be a ‘self-marking’ homework. I now use them to encourage talk in my classroom.

The Crossnumber in this pack can be used to frame this type of collaborative learning.

Split the class into pairs

1. Give the Across clues to one pupil
2. Give the Down clues to another pupil
3. Set time for the pupils to complete their set of questions on their own
4. Set time for the pupils to share their solutions
5. Both pupils now share their answers. Correct answers from both pupils will give the same result in the same square.

Alternatively, give a copy both the Across and Down clues to pupils to complete for homework or as independent task in class.
