This is a complete scheme of work for teaching Cry, the Beloved Country by Alan Paton for the new iGCSE specification. This scheme contains 30 lessons (137 slides!) with the possibility of some lessons becoming 2- 3 depending on your class’ ability/reading speed.
Lessons include a range of activities such as:
-engaging ‘do now’ tasks
-guided reading
-focus on writing analytical paragraphs that meet the success criteria for the exam
-deconstructing quotes
-differentiated activities for high ability students
-drama/speaking and listening activities
-use of technology in the classroom
-creative writing tasks that also link to the iGCSE English Language exam
Lessons cover the following topics:
-context
-themes
-symbolism
-language analysis
-structure
There are also a range of homework tasks included, plus suggestions for wider reading for your Gifted and Talented students.

Unfortunately this just wouldn't work with my class but I am sure would work really well with others!
There are a few useful discussion points included in here and some interesting reference to context and symbolism, but on the whole, the slides and format of lessons are repetitive and not always particularly suitable for GCSE level study (summarising chapters, comprehension questions). 20 pound is quite steep for a resource that doesn't include any actual analysis of the text or example essay answers.
