This was designed as an end of year, fun but also useful lesson. Each student was given a booklet to work through in pairs, all they needed was some fake blood (which I made by mixing red and brown paint with water), a pipette a metre ruler and a few sheets of A3 paper. After the practical there are some ISA style questions, I told my year 9s we were going to be using this as an indicator for where to start with them during next year's ISA lessons.

Thanks Physicsfairy - an original HSW investigation. I hope the results are decent. The related crater pingpong ball sand investigation was never my favourite.
