A piece of cover work I put together for GCSE Dance. This was for a double lesson (2 hours). COuld also work with Year 9 students.
Gives a variety of stimuli and student answer Section A style questions for each stimulus. Encourages them to think of ideas quickly and challenges them to think of various themes, choreographic intents & motifs for each stimulus.
Perfect for student practicing for Section A of the AQA GCSE exam, however, if students have studied Dance at KS3 they may well be able to complete this work competently.
I have also added an extra task that links to Section B and performance skills. I added this as an extension for my Year 10 group, but you could omit this if it doesn’t work for you.
