Developing Metaphors, Similes and Personification

I developed this lesson for a Y9 class who were preparing for the English Controlled Assessment 'Soundtrack of my Life'. They were a class of 28 boys who found generating literary devices quite difficult and so I broke them up into teams of three/four and assigned key-roles to each student. The only thing missing from this lesson is the starter activity which I can't seem to find anywhere! (Sorry). This lesson can be developed/changed to suit KS3 or KS4 and is fully differentiated. All you&'ll need to add is the role-badges (I used sticky labels). Enjoy.
