Did You Follow Directions?

The more than 100 illustrated “direction” exercises in this book begin at a basic level of reading and follow one- and two-step instructions using pictures and words. When mastered, the completed exercises are analyzed to determine if the directions were actually followed.

This activity promotes higher level thinking skills and increases students’ ability to check and edit their own work. From here, students are challenged to match completed exercises with given directions.
