This PowerPoint begins with introducing scale factor, and centre of dilation as the essentials of performing an enlargement or reduction. Three objects are enlarged to demonstrate the steps needed, and this is followed by three practice questions for students, these are reproduced on an enlargement worksheet and answers appear on the screen. Next reductions are treated in the same way, two objects are reduced then three practice questions, also reproduced on a reduction worksheet and again answers appear on the screen. A negative scale factor is shown as is enlargement and reduction by change of grid size for completeness. The objects used in this presentation are shown on the picture.
