Early Elizabethan England, 1558 - 1588 - Plots against Elizabeth

4 short videos covering the catholic plots against Elizabeth, including individual videos for The Revolt of the Northern Earls, The Throckmorton Plot, The Ridolfi Plot and The Babington Plot - as part of the Edexcel GCSE course.

They work as a revision tool for students, they can be embedded into lessons or used as part of a “Flipped Learning” lesson - with the students watching the video at home prior to the lesson.

Suggested starter activity for Flipped Learning also attached. Learners watch one of the videos at home (or could be done as a starter). When they come into class they are given a piece of paper with 8 squares on it (their Chocolate Bar) and they need need to find 8 different people with 8 different pieces of information from the video and add them into the squares. Obviously the number of squares can be changed.
