Whilst speaking and listening is a key focus, each rhyme can also be used as a focus for cross themed/curricular work. In addition to vocabulary, communication and language and early literacy development the rhymes link to numeracy, PSHE, science, knowledge and understanding of the world, the arts and other curriculum areas.
