Easter Chicks Subitising Seven or NOT 7 is a simple interactive whiteboard game to develop early perceptual and conceptual subitising skills. Children are presented with varying arrangements of Easter chicks. Ask: How many can you see? How do you see it? Children identify whether there are 7 chicks or NOT seven by clicking on the correct answer card i.e., 7 or not seven. For example, I can see that 3 and 4 make seven etc…
The game is 27 slides in length and fully editable to create other amounts.

Children can pair up with a partner to play the game during continuous provision by holding up 7 fingers or not. Their partner identifies whether they are showing 7 or not. Children can arrange easter chicks in as many different patterns as possible. Ask: How many different ways can we make 7?
