A lesson for lower attaining pupils to help them predict states of matter given melting and boiling points for different substances.
The main activity involves students deciding whether certain substances will be solid liquid or gas on the different planets of the solar system.
This could be a desk-bound actovity or you could print the imahes of the planets and their average temperatures and students could circulate the room to complete the activity.
Suitable for mid-low attaining GCSE group or a sparky KS3 group.
