PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THERE ARE SOME SLIDES THAT REQUIRE SENSITIVE HANDLING. THIS, AS WE ARE ALL AWARE, IS A DELICATE SUBJECT, ESPECIALLY AT THIS DIFFICULT TIME WITH EVENTS IN MANCHESTER. This resource has been designed with differentiation in mind and includes a range of activities such as videos, 15 mark practice and peer assessment. The focus of this double lesson is Censorship and religious freedom, including Islamophobia and the Charlie Hebdo case. The aim is to lead students into the area of study with an understanding of differing views on the subject. The activities are colour coded to match the objectives so that students understand the progress that is being made throughout and promotes an element of independence. A TED talk on the issue of Islamophobia is also included.
