Your students will love this as it lets them use their maths knowledge (multiplication, basic algebra, odds/evens etc) in an Egyptian maths adventure where they need to break the curse, defeat the mummy and get the treasure.

Great for adding onto an Egyptian unit - or simply use it as a fun maths activity. There are four main puzzles to solve (plus 2 early finisher activities) so can be used all in one go or broken into parts.

Setting the scene: Read to students the provided passage then the students have to accomplish four tasks:

1/ Break the curse (by decoding a hieroglyphic message)
2/ Put the mummy to sleep (using multiplication)
3/ Take the treasure (basic algebra)
4/ Escape the labyrinth (odds/even maze)

Also included as early finisher activities:

5/ Write your name in hieroglyphics
6/ Writing Activity & design your own obelisk.

Great idea but so many language errors. We used it as a proof reading exercise as well!
