I used this as a starter for the first lesson of the AQA Energy in Biomass unit. Students then have correct spellings of all words. You can question students to come up with definitions of the words. They can then refer to the keywords throughout the topic, for example to label different organisms in a food chain or pyramid of biomass. I used this with a middle set Year 9 class and we have found it really useful for referring back to.
