A PowerPoint for a KS2 English lesson for diary writing with a plural warm up.
I have used it for year 3 and 4 English.
The objective of the lesson is to understand and identify the features of a diary. Chn in the lesson would then select a diary text and create a key of diary features.
This PowerPoint I created is to introduce diary writing unit. You could easily adapt this lesson to your current topic. After this lesson the rest of the unit was linked to writing a diary entry as Mulan as our topic was China.This PowerPoint is a generic one.
I created the PowerPoint but used the Diary of a Wimpy Kid as an example. I had other example s of diary texts too for chn to use for their activities. There are website links on the PowerPoint to enhance the lesson and reinforce skills.
