This work has been created to teach students in school during the school lockdown. It is designed to build cultural capital and to not overlap with our curriculum which is still being set for all students.
There are 3 sessions/lessons on Midas and then 3 sessions/lessons on Icarus.
The sessions follow a similar pattern:
1 - Predict the story, read it, storyboard it
2- Answer comprehension/analyse quotations, learn relevant vocabulary, write an analysis vocabulary
3- Summarise the story, discuss the moral, apply to modern day life.
Attached are a .pdf and .doc of the 8 page booklet needed for all 6 sessions, the powerpoint which teachers can use, and the stories themselves.
