English planning for Year 1 - Focus on Capital Letters

Included are the teaching slides for 6+ lessons and the accompanying activity sheet.
This unit has been designed to focus on capital letters and has been broken down into 5 steps: capital letters for names of people, places, days of the week and the personal pronoun ‘I’. The children will then learn how to use capital letters to start sentences and practise this together with their teaching by orally rehearsing and writing together before having a go independently (Hold a sentence H.A.S)
