It features 12 Short Stories, each with a set of Comprehension questions. There are plenty of open ended questions that will develop learners’ creative writing skills. Within each text there will often be at least one vocabulary term, or specific use of language, which the students will most likely be unfamiliar with. For the texts containing such terms, there will always be one comprehension question challenging the students’ understanding of its meaning and use.
To consolidate new vocabulary there is an additional Vocabulary Skills section following the comprehension activities. In this section you will find: exercises, word-searches, crosswords, magic squares and more… These worksheets focus on the “trickier” vocabulary terms from the short stories section. Throughout the entire resource there also plenty of engaging visuals and professional illustrations.
