Extend your Vocabulary, The Hindi Challenge

This activity is designed for use as a starter or plenary activity for an English lesson.
Students are challenged to decode clues and identify words drawn from a Hindi tradition that have become part of contemporary English. Companion presentations are linked to Arabic, Japanese and others. The use of a dictionary is at the discretion of the teacher and there is a printable slide at the end of the presentation which may be used in an emergency cover lesson or set for homework.
