Get your pupils to research their own family history and connections to the First and Second World Wars. This 10 page booklet will guide them through what they need to research, how to do it and comes with a structured time frame so this can be completed with a final extended writing task as a homework over a 3-4 week period. For those without family to research a list of 5 other semi-famous people have been provided on page 2. This has been used with year 9 pupils and they have really engaged with their personal connections to history.
